Ordering

All orders must be placed by noon three business days prior to the event. This lead time is essential to the planning, purchasing and preparation necessary for providing the highest quality food and service. Orders may be placed by any of the following methods: Additional food and beverages may be ordered during an event; simply contact your suite attendant or use the in—house phone system to place your order.

Beverage Service

Distinctive Gourmet will gladly set up a par level of beverages in your suite before the start of each event. You may also order drinks through the ordering system or through your suite attendant at any point during an event.

We ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Beverages may not be brought into the building or removed from the facility.
  • Minors (under the age of 21) may not consume alcoholic beverages.
  • When leaving the suite level, all beverages must be poured into a cup. Bottles and cans are not allowed elsewhere in the building.
  • It is unlawful to serve any one who is obviously intoxicated. Please keep in mind that the suite owner is ultimately responsible for their guests enjoyment and safety.

Special Services

Suite attendants will have your suite ready for you when you arrive and will regularly check on you to replenish or assist with your needs. The suite attendant will be responsible for other suites as well as yours. If you wish to have exclusive service, arrangements can be made for a charge of $75.00 per event.

Service and Display Ware

All foodservice and display ware for your suite is provided for you by the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena. These items are to remain in the suite until removed by Event Center Staff.

Security

Please be sure to remove all personal belongings when leaving the building or secure it in a lockable cabinet if your suite is equipped with one. Distinctive Gourmet cannot be held responsible for any misplaced property left unattended in the suite.

Payment Methods and Billing

In order to facilitate the billing process, and to comply with the Iowa state liquor law, we require that each suite have a credit card on file before your first order of food and beverage. Your card will not be charged without your authorization (unless authorized signer is not available). Suite holder guests who are not authorized to charge on behalf of the suite holder, may pay with cash only for beverage services. A “last call” will be given at a specified point of the event. At that time your guest check will be totaled and presented to you for settlement. All food and beverage sales are subject to a 17% service charge. Any personal gratuity for service is entirely at your discretion. An itemized invoice will be mailed out following the event. It is encouraged that each suite has one specific person designated for all ordering and billing communications. Please remember that even when you are not present, you are responsible for all charges made to your master account. If more than one person is authorized to charge on behalf of the suite holder, we request written confirmation for each authorized guest.

Cancellations

You may cancel your suite order 48 hours before event without any charges to you.
